The book of Judges ends with ” In those days Israel had no king: everyone did as he saw fit “. Solomon’s words from Ecclesiastes 1:9 can certainly be applied here, for without the Lordship of the true King of Kings ruling in our hearts, mankind still is doing whatever he sees fit. Crime rates are up, American cities with the strictest gun laws have the highest violent crime rates! Millions upon millions of innocent lives have been ended legally by means of abortion since the Supreme Court’s decision on Roe v Wade. Now the main provider of that horrific milieu of death has been exposed in interviews, bragging about the profit made from the sale of human parts, by “perfecting” the technique used in this mass murdering, preventing organ damage. The Middle East and Northern Africa are being purged of any Christian influence, by ISIS, Boko Haram, Al Queda, and other terrorist organizations, both by the executions of those, who proclaim Jesus as Lord, and in the destruction of buildings and artifacts that would attest to the validity of the Judeo-Christian heritage in the area. Even in Europe and North America some influenced by those oppressors of good, have tried to instill fear in the hearts and minds of those living in freedom. Governments are giving in to groups that would remove any references to the Almighty in public areas. Truly, as the prophet Jeremiah stated in Chapter 17 verse 9 in his writing 600 years prior to Christ’s birth, ” the heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it ?” All the while the repeated daily occurrences of the aforementioned atrocities are creating a desensitizing to the point where what should be considered shocking is looked on by many as a matter of fact. Thank God that He put a way of change into effect. Ezekiel 36:26 tells us ” I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you, I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.” Jesus, in His vicarious death on the cross has made this new heart possible for all. He changes hearts through the Holt Spirit. As we share His love in this age light can and will drive out the darkness. Are you doing “as you see fit” today ? Or have you allowed his law to be written on your heart…
